On the 2nd April 2018 the whole nation of South Africa and other parts of the world came up with the shocks news that Winifred Zanyiwe Madikizela Mandela has passed away. Born in 26 September 1936 in Eastern Cape; in a small town called Bizana. At age of 9 years in 1945 she was already know the structures and injustices of racism and the meaning of the apartheid system in South Africa. Her first experience on injustice was when the Second World War ended, the celebration were scheduled to take place even in Bizana. Along with her siblings begged her father to attend the event, eventually her father permitted them on their request. Upon on their arriving at the town hall, it was discovered that those celebration were to accommodate the white race only. On the event the children were forced outside with their fathers as their skin were not in criteria of attending that event. It is when Winnie started to develop a consciously awareness of the injustices of the system and inequality around her world. That experience it also began her political journey, as she was known an ANC political activist that also married a famously political icon late Mr. Rholihlahla Nelson Mandela. Her popularity and her role of political struggle in South Africa gave her a name of hope as was known as the mother of the nation. Her Soul May Rest in Peace, her name will be legacy to many generations.
