I am Tendeep Randle and I have been in the music industry since 1990, doing Record Promotion , Marketing, Road Management and Artists development. My first project in 90 was called " Marrero. What the Fellas be Yellin, which is a city on the West Bank of New Orleans, which led us to be signed to Atlantic Records, and to go on our first Major Tour. I have shared knowledge with such people as EZ -E, LL Cool J, Chante Moore, Kevin Black, The Ghetto Boyz, AMG, Too Short, Future, and Cash Money Records to name a few..

I have promoted over 100 different songs whether it was Hip Hop, Rock, Country and Western , Jazz and Gospel. The Genre isn't as important as the dream of the artists, and the message that he or she is trying to get across. I have a network of 4 Radio Stations., Promotional Website, 2 Distribution Companies, and 1 Record Company "10 Deep Records'.

I could speak of my accomplishments but that would not be as informative as me telling you that the music industry is about how bad you want to share what it is blowing up inside your soul and Heart, something you want to get across.to the entire Global population. Such as the new project we have just finished entitled "Global Warning" a mixture of USA and South Africa, the bloodlines that cross the oceans. This vision came, when a mad man took over the country and wants to kick people out who have just as much right as anybody to be here since that was the reason they came in the first place to leave England, or Senseless Gun Laws that have allowed children to buy them over the counter and Kill their fellow Class mates or teachers, or the problems of programs being shut down USA that affect our South African Brothers and Sisters.

This Album is created to sit back and just listen to not to shake your ass to . I would love to thank Black P KAY for producing the majority of the tracks and has agreed to become one of our producers here at 10 Deep Records, and has the right to sign and develop talent for our Company .

I would like to Thank all of the amazing artists that joined in on this project: Propane Flamz and King 28 from the USA, and Black P Kay, Keenotte, Tman, Vus Mind ur Biz, Nandipha, Loyd and Wizar.

QUESTIONNAIRE

AS BNREMAG, A BABY MAG ONLINE, WE ARE HONOURED TO HAVE A MUSIC LEGEND LIKE YOU (BASED ON YOUR PROFILE). THROUGH EXPERIENCE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY, WHAT MAKES THE MUSIC IS CATEGORIZED OR DEFINED AS GLOBAL CULTURE?

I've never heard it called Global Culture, but that is a great name for today's music since it’s more important to have a global Presence for sales and marketing. Our Culture is becoming one, problems, issue are now global, so our message is global.

YOU HAVE WORKED WITH THE LEGENDARY HIP HOP STARS LIKE LL COOL J AND THE NEW SCHOOL RAPPERS LIKE FUTURE. WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE EVOLUTION OF HIP HOP BASED ON WHAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED IN THE PAST AND AT THE PRESENT MOMENT?

The biggest change is the audience, the purpose, and the motivation. Music was a key to escape what was going on in our communities, whether it was party music or conscious related, we didn't have as many toys as people have now , internet wasn't a tool, so more time was spent listening and respecting those that worked real hard to get to the top . Now there is no respect for the game because there is no working hared to accomplish a goal, you can find a do it yourself kit on the internet somewhere. I have to say my work with South African Artists have shown me that the urge and desire for the industry is still here, and there is a market.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO CHOOSE MUSIC INDUSTRY TO ALL INDUSTRIES?

You don;t choose something that you are destined to do, it has chosen you before the beginning you just are there when it happens. Creativity is the reason I was drawn to the field of Arts, I was attending Southern University for Mass Communication and Journalism when I waas offered my first position as Vice President of Promotions for Alliv Records, which ended up with our deal with Atlantic Records.

STILL ON THE 90S, HIP HOP ICONS LIKE TUPAC, NAS OR THE DUO “DEAD PREZ” REVEALED POLITICAL STRUGGLE IN THE LIVES OF BLACK COMMUNITIES IN AMERICA; THE ATMOSPHERE CHANGED THE IDEA OF THE WORLD ABOUT AMERICA, TODAY MOST OF POPULAR HIP HOP ARTISTS IN AMERICA PORTRAY A BETTER LIFE TO ALL AMERICAN PEOPLE, WHAT’S YOUR TAKES ON THAT VIEW? IS IT AN AMERICAN DREAM TO EVERYONE WHAT WE SEE ON THE VIDEOS/HIP HOP TV SHOWS AND HEAR LYRICAL TO THE CURRENT HOT HIP HOP ARTISTS?

From my stand point everything you see is a marketing tool in most videos, and programming , as stated in my answer in a previous question , everything that starts off with an origin , always is more beautiful , until people began to personify it , and become bored with the original.

BEFORE GOING FURTHER, WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE HIP HOP ARTIST OF ALL TIME, AND WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO HIM/HER?

Sugar hill gang was the most important group to me because they open up the music of Hip Hop to those of us who were in the south, New York was already pushing Hip Hop Music before we in the Southern States had a taste of it, this is what drew me to Boston , and the east coast to begin spinning 12 inches.

Give us your differentiation of the meaning of these 3 words in the hip hop music industry; “RAPPER, EMCEE and ARTIST”.

The All the same nowadays , at one time an emcee would be the person who hyped the crowd, when the dj was playing , and the rapper changed from the Emcee when words became more important than the music and an Artists originated when Expression was needed to push the new beats that were being created..

An imagination of the African image to an ordinary young person of the USA; do you have an idea about how to be young American who has imagination about AFRICA?

. Sorry to say , but young people don't think about Africa and the music industry that is emerging , if you look at the President we have here in this country you will see, Africa as if it has nothing going on that can push Hip Hop.

10 Deep Record is engage or formulating underground talent that promote South African Artists and US Artists; tell us more about what is behind the idea of GLOBAL WARNING (Your current project)?

We started 10 Deep Records to bring back the message of what is going on in messages that can make a difference, majority of the American artists are becoming Lazy and complacent, not wanting to spend money and living a dream before the dream becomes a reality.

WHY YOU CHOSE SOUTH AFRICAN ARTISTS IN THIS PROJECT?

South African Artists are hungry to get their message and style out and that is where you will find incredible sounds and words, not to say all American artists are this way , but a majority of it .

TO THE PROJECT, HOW IS YOUR RESPOND ON SOUTH AFRICAN HIP HOP ARTICULATION?

There flow is the same as any other artists, if your listening for the message and you appreciate good music , I have never had a problem with articulation..

WHEN THE PROJECT RELEASED?

Global Warning will be released this month of April in all digital stores.

HOW MANY SONGS TO THIS PROJECT?

There are 8 songs on this first Volume of Global Warning .

IS THE TAPE BEING RELEASED INDEPENDENT OR DO YOU HAVE OTHER MOVES FOR ASSISTANCE TO THE BIG LABELS?

Independence is the Major now days when your distribution is the same as there's , but yes 10 Deep Records has connections with Universal Records for this project as well , and we talking it over to do some promotion during BET Weekend in Los Angels , California..

LAST QUESTION: IS ANYTHING GREAT YOU’VE PLAN THAT IS ON THE PIPELINE FOR FUTURE?

Our Distribution Company is getting into Movie Distribution, and Also the production of Movies and the signing of PHAKAMISA MTHINTSILANA as a A/R Rep for 10 Deep Records, along with Production contract. We will be signing more South African artists doing everything possible to get them as much as possible a following in the USA
