CREATIVITY OF SLUMCHILD
LonwaboMfuyo A.K.A Slumchild is a lyricist who started writing as early as twelve years old. Listening to likes of Nas, Tupac, Dead Prezetc. nurturing and polishing skills for a clear understanding of the art of poetry and Hip Hop. He and friends formed a crew called "Black Blaze" in 2004 - 5 recording and releasing a project titled "When the world turns" that did not do well commonly from lack of marketing knowledge and management. With the crew consisting of P-K (the rapper & beat maker), Slumchild, Mind Ur Bizz, Chanel also known as Flames, GenetikIrandi and lastly Ninja who later quit anything to do with RAP. They performed, searched for record deals and finally without any luck Slumchild went deeper to the underground scene for experience.

In 2007, He with family moved to the Vaal where he explored the local scene, entering battles, attending Cyphers and meeting with some of the skilled local talent. Traveling to places like Palm Springs to shows, one called "Stitra",one "Mind Your Mind" and in Orange Farm to a show called "Meditation Station “and " Big Boy" to count a few. Upping his pen game, getting familiar with Soweto sessions too, and sharing the stage with some of distinguished underground cats in places like Dube at the "Next Movement" and numerous other townships and functions.

He later regrouped with Mind Ur Bizz and other cats namely Mazzy Massive and Metapheastthat was when they formeda clique known as "Time Signs". The clique was very active with connections in Soweto, the Vaal, Katlehong, and Vooslorus performing recognisable tunes with tonnes of inspiration. They had planned to create an underground buzz and later cultivate the market but members had other motives and some had to focus on work and some on academic incentives. Since then Slumchild had to pursue a job until he decided to venture on publishing his debut poetry book, which he is promoting strenuously to this day.
