CATCH SYCLOPES EYEV Neo Lukhele aka Syclopes EyeV was Born and bred in Pretoria, the 21 year old says he developed an interest in music at the tender age of 14. “I got the influence from my brother, Thulani. He was an underground rapper and I used to travel with him when he had rap sessions with his crew called IT (intellectual thoughts)”. The young rapper said.

It all started when he decided to record a song with few of his classmates in grade 10. The song became a hit and was on everyone’s lips at school that was when he started taking rap seriously. Apart from being motivated by the hype over the song, he was also driven by the realization that he could inspire young people through music.

In 2016 the rapper decided to reside in Johannesburg, Gauteng, that’s where he met Ma-E from Cashtime Life Records. Ma-E had an event called Township Councillor Experience around September and at that time the rapper approached him to be his promoter with few of his friends. The talented rapper took advantage of the association while touring with him doing activations at Universities, Schools and other surrounded areas. Syclopes EyeV grew a following after the whole experience and took rap to the next level.

“It was a blessing to have toured with Ma-E, I gained so much knowledge and experience under his wing” said Syclopes EyeV. The rapper says he is inspired by music and what his feeling at the moment, I’d love to work with upcoming artist more than ‘OGs’ so to say because I feel like the new generation has a lot to offer in terms of creativity and bringing different elements to music”.

PROJECTS Syclopes EyeV released an EP called 88 KID EP early January and it was received very well by the fans. His single off the EP ‘Switch’ topped local radio charts. He also shot a music video for the song with a well-known production company PILOT FILMS. Syclopes EyeV has a feature with the famous Zoocci Coke Dope. The song is called Saucin. His collaboration is huge stepping stone for the him as is huge stepping stone for the him as he is yet to prove himself in the ‘game’.
