Meet The Mexican Boys

How did it all begin? It all began when we were still students of the University of Limpopo Turfloop campus. We were both dancers and enjoyed dancing so that’s where the Mexican Boys began. Where did the name come from? We were always inspired by sounds of Mexican guitar and always love watching the Movie named “Desperado” ,only to find out that one of us has a Mexican name’Antonio’. What gave you that initial push? Music on its own was always our inspiration and when we found that we are good in Deejaying, Dancing and music production, it finally gave us a good foundation to go ahead. Did the Deejaying, Production, Promoting come first? We started by Dancing before everything else. Who’s throwing the best parties at themoment? Dstv I rock Which other countries have you played at/put on? We haven’t performed outside the country as yet. What was the first event you ever played at/put on? University of Limpopo Welcome Bash 2014 What was the best event you’ve ever played/put on? klipdrift golden beats and MTV Base at Mamohuba jazz paradise What was your first record you ever brought? Black Motion_Fortune teller When all the partying is over how do you like to chill out? Have some drinks andfood with our team and friends So how is the scene in your eyes at the moment? Very Good What’s your real name if you use alias and how old are you? Sekoele(25 years old) and Mangweta(26 years old) Where do you live? Sekoele is from marobalagadikgale Mangweta is from moletjiemakgodu Dalmada is our current location. How big is your vinyl collection? What do think of CDJ’s? They are fine machines everyone with ‘music passion’ can learn. The Funniest thing that ever happened at an event? Almost fell down on stage while dancing Other Djs you rate? Black motion, Djshimza, Prince kaybee and heavy k What are your feelings on the MC’s? The relationship is very good, because it’s a platform whereby DJs and Mcs get to uplift each other What do you do outside of the dance music scene? Music production What advice would you give to up and coming DJs/Promoters? Be passionate, have patience, focus, and determination. When you play is this a preplanned set? Yes When was your first time you visited an event? Was it to holiday or to play? 2012 to holiday
What advice would you give to up and coming DJs/MC’s? Follow your heart, work hard, and be willing to sacrifice, spend on building your own craft and be patient and determined.

A-team, because we unleash certain things which were not in the industry, we are fearless; we accept advices and we get to motivate others. Any shouts you would like to make?
