You might not know who Deezat is nor haven’t heard his music yet, but soon you will. With musical influences straddling across the scope of music from both local and international artists, the 27 year old rapper is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with and might just be a chart-topping artist in the near future. Born in Umtata, Eastern Cape - Abonga Xatyisiwe as his parents named him, later moved to Cape Town where he did his schooling. His love affair with Hip Hop music began in High School and shortly after that the young fella found himself expressing his thoughts and emotions through rapping. Starting off with Hood-lafam (S'xeko Crew), which is a clique he formed with childhood friends, Deezat began making rounds in Cape Town entertainment circuits with his fellow crew-mates, rocking the mic at gigs in around Cape Town, and in 2009 the group released a mixtape called the First-Chapter. Their hard-work payed off when Hood-lafam was given an opportunity to perform at a Fresher’s gig at CPUT (Cape Peninsula University of Technology) in 2012, alongside big name acts such as Big Nuz and DJ Zintle just to name a few. Shortly after that, Deezat pursued a solo career while the other group members decided to devote their time on other commitments. While on his solo venture, the Umtata native shot his first music video for his breakout single called “Haysho” and since then he has never looked back. Fast forward to 2016 and Deezat has just dropped a brand new banger called “Waya-Waya Redrop” which features PS Quint whose music has been well received quite well locally and his native country Zimbabwe. The tr

ack is a promotional single for Deezat’s debut EP “Piece of Cake”. The project features various artists and producers who brought their A-game. One of those noticeable talents is MSA who has worked with some of finest African artist. On the 03rd June 2017, Deezat dropped his much anticipated protect Piece Of Cake, only available in a hardcopy so long and later will be available online on all the digital music stores. Now the young fella is planning to promote his project and shoot more music videos.
