BREEZY BROUGHT IT...
Jo'burg...
Durban...
Aaaand if you haven't seen it, this is Breezy performing with Nigeria's WizKid on the Durban leg of his tour which happened this past Saturday. How hot is their song "African Bad-Girl"?

If you haven't yet been hit by the TIDAL wave that's taken the global music industry by storm then you've been sleeping. Jay Z has broken status quo AGAIN (what's new?) and this time, he wants the artist to make money from streaming their music. Dope Right? The company is pitching itself as “the first artist-owned global music and entertainment platform”. Jay Z said in an interview with Billboard “People are not respecting the music, and [are] devaluing it and devaluing what it really means. People really feel like music is free, but will pay $6 for water.” I'm not even going to go into what's WRONG with free streaming... You're an artist. Figure it out. One question to spur your thoughts...Are all those hits on YouTube translating into money in the bank for you..? You've answered your question. Tidal's main selling points are higher-quality streams. It's also added music videos and deeper editorial. If Arcade Fire, Beyoncé, Calvin Harris, Coldplay, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Jack White, Jason Aldean, J Cole, Kanye West, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Usher are all excited, why aren't you?

IT'S OFFICIAL. Pharrell and Missy Elliot are indeed in studio working on Missy's album. Pharrell excitedly confirmed it on the Jimmy Fallon Show after being asked who he was working with at the moment. This is what he says about working with Missy
"Her mind man, her mind. The way it works, like, we're in the studio and just the things that she says and thinks about and like her video concepts, like, I didn't know that all those video concepts were hers, like that's...yeah I'm so proud of her man. That's Virginia."
He goes on to call her a genius. We agree!

What’s this nonsense about Infa leaving Skwatta Kamp? How do you leave something that’s been err…unalive for years now? As far as I know, each Skwatta member went corporate or went solo. Smells like disbanding to me. This is what Infa said about it.
“"Yeah, I'm no longer part of the group, but I'll be with the guys just to do a few tributes for Flabba and also to record a song. But I'm not with them because I'm trying to push my career,"
He went on to say,
"We haven't recorded yet, but I doubt the chemistry will be the same,"
A Skwatta Kamp reunion without Flabba is hard to envision. For many of us, he was the soul of the group. The tribute must pack some serious HEAT. It would be nice if they leaned more towards their Washumkhukhu days, before they decided to gloss it up.
As we wait patiently for it to drop.
